CHICKEN CASHEW NUT GRAVY
This is a simple tomato and cashew nut based chicken curry..It is so easy to make..You don't have to chop lots of onions for this, it is purely a tomato and cashew nut based curry. I made a spiced tomato puree and cashew nut and cooked seared chicken in this…It tasted so yummy. I served it with parota..But it goes extremely well with pulav, naan as well...Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..
Chicken Cashew nut Gravy Recipe
Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 30 to 40 mins
Serves: 3
Ingredients:
For Puree:
Tomatoes – 1 large choppedDry Chilli – 7 or 8
Cashew nut - 6 or 7
For gravy:
Oil – 1 tblspn + 1 tblspnOnion - 2
Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 tbsp
Turmeric Powder – ½ tsp
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Coriender powder - 2 tsp
Skinless Chicken – ½ kg large cubed
Kasuri Methi Leaves – 1 tsp
Water around 1.5 cup
Salt to taste.
Method:
2. Take mixer jar and add roasted dry red chilli and cashewnut and tomatoes blend it into the mixer given for puree and puree smoothly.
3. Now heat 1 tblspn of oil in a pan, add onion and cook it, and add ginger garlic paste saute well until raw smell let gone.
4. After and turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, and salt. Add little bit water.and Let saute well all together.
5. Now add cleaned chicken into the masala pan and mix well.
6. Now add tomato cashew nut puree masala and cook till oil separates and it gets thick and dried up.
7.Now add in water and bring it to a boil.
8. Let boil and stir fry them for 5 mins till it is look semi gravy.
9. Now cover and simmer for 8 to 10 mins till oil floats on top.
10. Now add in kasuri methi leaves and coriander leaves. Mix well.
11.Serve with rice or roti
